Application

Effective on a variety of fabrics, including wool, and cashmere knitwear, 100% cotton, polyester/cotton blends and 100% synthetics.

By Padding

Normally a level of 5-10g/ltr is applied by padding. Drying will cure Perfasoft PJ, it is not necessary to high-temperature cure and no addition of catalyst is required. Perfasoft PJ can also be added to a typical crease-resist system along with the catalyst, lubricant and resin – a dilution level of 5-10g/ltr will be adequate.

By Exhaustion

Perfasoft PJ should be applied in the final rinse bath at 400C for 15-20 minutes, pH 6-6.5. A dilution level of 0.5-1.0% is recommended. It may also be applied with non-ionic or cationic softening agent.

When processing cashmere or lambswool knitwear, Perfasoft PJ should be added to the last bath at a temperature of at least 350C – processing time will be dependent on machine type and finish required. For times of less than 2 minutes, a dwell of at least 1 minute should be built in to the process to allow the product to exhaust into the garments.

• Handling: Perfasoft PJ is liquid and easily diluted, however it is recommended that only sufficient quantity for one day’s production is pre-diluted.
