Application

Perfasoft IBS is generally applied in the last rinse bath under slightly acid conditions, e.g. pH 6 – 7 for 10 – 20 minutes at 35°C.

A level of 1-3% of Perfasoft IBS is recommended.

In the case of acrylic fibres, Perfasoft IBS may be added to the bath at the commencement of dyeing or at the end of the dyeing cycle, to the cooling liquor.

Perfasoft IBS may also be Pad applied, either alone or in combination with resins and catalysts.

Benefits

  • Handle: Will confer a soft bulky handle, to natural and synthetic and fibres, without any deleterious effect on absorbency.
  • Static control: Will impart a high degree of anti-static finish to treated fabrics.
  • Electrolyte stability: Due to it’s tolerance to electrolytes, Perfasoft IBS may be applied in the acrylic bath.
  • Dye fastness: Has minimal effect on the fastness of fabrics dyed with acid dyes, pre-metallised dyes, basic dyes, disperse dyes, direct dyes or reactive dyes.
  • Versatility: May be applied by both conventional exhaust and padding techniques. It is stable to commonly used resin/catalyst systems e.g. 30g/l magnesium chloride.
  • Ozone: When applied to indigo dyed garments, Perfasoft IBS has an anti-ozone effect.
