VANISHING OIL 85L s a is a low viscosity lubricant designed for high speed stamping, punching, and forming of thin gauge coiled steel strip producing tubular, angled or flat components. Formulated with a high level of natural ester to provide a high film strength to impart an excellent surface finish to components and protect tools from ‘pick-up’ and wear.

Being based on a low odour highly refined, low aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, Vanishing Oil 85L has been designed to evaporate from metal surfaces and components post forming. Due to the type of high performance esters used in the formulation, post form welding of components can be done safely without the need to clean the formed material. The product is an ideal choice for less arduous pressing and stamping operations such as profiling, drawing, and blanking of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including uncoated or coated steel: galvanised or electro zinced.

Application

Designed for use on a broad range of light gauge materials including steel, zinc coated steel and aluminum. Product can be applied by dipping, spraying or roll coating.
