PERFALUBE SPL
PERFALUBE SPL is a highly anti-static, water soluble lubricant for the processing of wool on the worsted system. Formulated specifically to give trouble-free processing of chlorine shrink resist treated wool.
Perfalube SPL is available in 200 kg drums and 1000 kg IBC’s.
Application
Carding & Combing: Perfalube SPL can be applied either before or after the wool dryer, after application of chlorine and SR resin. Application in the final bath of the wool scourer will aid distribution of the lubricant therefore improving subsequent processing.
Application Level – Level of application will depend on level of total extractable on fibre, Perfalube SPL should be made up to a 50/50 solution and solids added to give a total extractable level, including lubricant of 0.2 – 0.4%. An extra 0.1% of Perfalube SPL added by spray at the pre comb gill, will improve static control. In the case of SR tops, 0.3% should be applied.
Spinning: Perfalube SPL can be used on either ecru, dyed or shrink resist tops and wool / synthetic blend tops. For best results the lubricant should be applied at the auto leveller gill, this will give optimum distribution of the lubricant.
Application Level – Once again this is governed by the level of extractable on the fibre and lubricant should be added from a 50/50 solution to give a total extractable level of 1.0 – 1.1%.

- Hygroscopic: Being slightly hygroscopic Perfalube SPL will aid the distribution of water added for conditioning in yarn packages.
- Gilling: Perfalube SPL will overcome problems at gilling associated with chlorine shrink resist treated tops.
- Non Yellowing: When applied before the wool dryer, Perfalube SPL will not cause yellowing of the fibre.
